About our Founder
Laura began her career as an illustrator and graphic designer, then eventually worked her way through nearly every corner of the art department: a scenic artist, prop master, set decorator, art director and production designer.
She has always enjoyed work that requires imagination, research, improvisation and the ability to make an idea real with whatever time, money and materials are available.
At her core, Laura is a compulsive problem-solver with a sensibility shaped by hands-on experimentation, curiosity, travel, and decades spent searching through flea markets for things she did not know she was looking for.
She lives in Philadelphia with her husband and cat, and is happiest when she is walking around a city, driving through the country, or lying in bed with a book.
